The artist Olaug Vethal

My name is Carl Eric Vethal. I am the only son of the

Norwegian Artist  Olaug Vethal.

Together with her friend and former student Christine

Xuereb, I hold in trust the late artists heritage. It is our

responsiblilty to preserve the collection of paintings and

present her art to the public in Malta and abroad.

Christine Xuereb is the owner of  Artitude Gallery in Malta

and responsible for all art sales. She has prepared a

selected number of paintings which now are avaliable for

sale. Now the webstore is operating and then paintings can

be purchased on this website as well. Do not hesitate to

contact her to buy artworks of Olaug Vethal.

In the last two years since my mother passed away, we

have organised several exhibitions to present her paintings

to the public.

Two large exhibitions took place in Malta. One at the St.

James Cavalier centre of creativity, in February 2008 and

one at the Museum of Fine Arts in Malta, in June 2009. At

the latter we had the honour of a presidential visit. His

Excellency the President of Malta George Abela  came to

see the exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts.

Later we intend to publish an Olaug Vethal art book. There

are plans to start an "Olaug Vethal charity" as well.

We are planning more exhibitions in the future. At least

two exhibitions will take place in 2010. If you think you
